Hyderabad: The Delhi High Court’s recent decision to restore Indian Premier League’s ex-chief Lalit Modi’s passport is now a reason for jubilation for several Modi supporters.
Modi, the man known for his Midas touch, had had his passport revoked in March 2010, following an IPL match-fixing scandal. The mercurial man, who is known to have single-handedly made IPL the most cash-rich cricket body, is set to return to India after having spent four years in the UK — an event that is quite likely to affect the BCCI elections, slated for September 2014.
Modi, a former vice-president of BCCI, and the current president, N. Srinivasan, who has been suspended by the Supreme Court until the mess of the 2013 IPL scandal clears up, are known to be sworn enemies. Modi contested for the December 2013 Rajasthan Cricket Association elections in blatant defiance of the BCCI and won comfortably, which led BCCI to suspend Rajasthan. His return to India, therefore, promises exciting, even eventful, times ahead for the Indian cricket administration.
We take this opportunity to look at Lalit Modi's Surya Kundali and predict the way ahead for him.
What lies ahead
In Lalit Modi’s chart, Saturn is strong in its own sign in the 10th House from Modi’s natal Moon. The strong Sash-Yoga in his chart makes him a master strategist and an ambitious businessman.
Jupiter is placed in its own sign in Trine with the Natal Sun, which makes Lalit Modi one of the most effective sports administrators in the history of cricket.
Currently, the transiting Jupiter is passing through its friendly sign Cancer (where Jupiter gets exalted) and is aspecting Modi’s Natal Sun. This planetary combination may be the reason that Modi was successfully elected as president of the Rajasthan Cricket Association, and also got his passport back.
Also, as the transiting Rahu is passing through the 11th House from Modi’s Natal Sun and the 6th House from his natal Moon, Modi is likely to soon begin a second innings in Indian cricket administration, feels Ganesha.
However, it will not be that easy for Modi, as the transiting Saturn is passing through the 12th House in his Chart. He will have to face stiff resistance from his old enemies.
Nonetheless, Lalit Modi is likely to first consolidate and strengthen his position, and may come back to India during the period between November 12, 2014 and April 14, 2015. He will also play an important role in the Indian cricket management scenario in 2015.
Despite severe opposition, Modi’s position will get stronger during the latter half of 2015, when the transiting Jupiter will be passing through Leo. All in all, Lalit Modi’s second innings will get a further boost after August 2015.
