Telangana to float tenders for the proposed 1,000 MW solar power plant in Mahbubnagar

Hyderabad: The Telangana state government is all geared up to float tenders for the proposed 1,000 MW solar power plant in Mahbubnagar in the next one week, which is touted to be one of the biggest solar power plants in the city. Speaking at the Green Buildings International Conference in the city on Thursday, IT minister K.T. Rama Rao said Telangana would become a model state in the next three years and that the government will plant about 230 crore saplings across the state to increase the green quotient from 25 percent to 35 percent.
