People living on banks of river Krishna are expecting clarity on capital on riverfront of Krishna

Guntur: Confusion prevailed among the people of Guntur district following the announcement of the capital being “around Vijayawada”. People of various villages living along the banks of the River Krishna, especially on the Vijayawada-Amar-avati Karakatta road, are expecting clarity from the government on the “capital on the riverfront of Krishna”.
Besides, land-pooling is turning into a hot topic in every village. As Mr Naidu had announced the land-pooling system to acquire the much-needed land for the capital, people are optimistic that the location would be on the banks of the river and on the outskirts of Vijayawada city.
Seetanagaram, Venk-atapalem, Mandadam, Tallayapalem, Uddan-darayunipalem, Linga-yapalem, Rayapudi, Abbirajupalem, Haris-chandrapuram, Vyku-ntapauram and Amar-avati villages are on the banks of the River Krishna. Naturally, people of these villages are more than interested in the goings-on and waiting anxiously for clarity from Mr Naidu.
Venkatapalem residents said that CM’s statement was vague, but they are optimistic of the riverfront capital.
