App tracks progress in kids’ speech as they grow
Childchat was developed by University of Canterbury speech and language therapy student
Melbourne: A smartphone app can tell parents how their toddlers’ speech is progressing compared with their peers. Childchat was developed by University of Canterbury speech and language therapy student Kristi Rabbitt to help parents monitor the speech, language and communication development of their children and compare their kid’s speech with others.
Parents can document, record and analyse the speech and language development of their kids. Ms Rabbitt said she was inspired to make the app after learning there was little knowledge about what speech therapists did.
