Rangasamy said opposition are doing a drama over the scheme
Puducherry: Chief Minister N. Rangasamy on Wednesday dubbed the ongoing agitations by the opposition on quality of rice supplied through ration shops under free rice scheme as “a political drama”.
When the ration card holders made no complaint about the quality of rice available to them and were satisfied with the quality it was only the opposition parties staging a political drama, Rangasamy said talking to reporters here. On 6 tmc feet of water in Cauvery for Karaikal region, he said no steps would be spared to hold talks with the TN Chief Minister to ensure water for the region depending on Cauvery river system.
“We are in touch with the TN Chief Minister on various matters and would be able to register good cooperation from the neighbouring state government,” Rangasamy said.
He announced the names of teachers selected for the National Best Teachers award and state level Best Teachers awards, to be presented during the Teacher’s Day celebration on September 5, adding, the Puducherry government had instituted the Dr S. Radhakrishnan Best Teacher award.
