Cricketers, experts question England and Alastair Cook’s ODI credentials
Mumbai: It is often said that image speaks louder than words. If not anything, it defintely gives a glimpse into what an individual is upto or going through.
The image of Alastair Cook covering his face with his hands following England's 9-wicket defeat against India in Birmingham conveyed it all, England's inability to perform better in ODIs and Cook's continuing failure to lift the team. The series loss has once again questionned Cook's credentials to lead England at the World Cup in 2015.

While Ian Botham and Graeme Swann called England an embarrassment, the cricket world too has come down heavily on England's and Cook's below-par show. And here are some such reactions.
I am intrigued with what everyone wants for the England One day team... RT if you want Cook to captain.. FAV...if you want Morgan...

Vaughan was a sport enough to hand over England their new ODI flag; something similar on the lines of his idea of India's Test cricket flag. The New England ODI flag..... pic.twitter.com/F9DZfo1pMp

Paul Downtown, James Whitaker, Peter Moores and Alistair Cook you've got it all wrong...we were rubbish.

If Cook thinks the idea England will win the World Cup is "a bit far-fetched" surely you have to find someone who doesn't believe so.
