Rape avenged with gangrape in Uttar Pradesh
Lucknow: In a shocking incident of revenge, the sister of a rape accused was abducted and gang raped by five men in Muzaffarnagar district on Monday.
The victim’s brother was accused of raping a girl on August 25 and she attempted suicide, but was saved by the villager.
The accused was later arrested and sent to jail.
The sister and the mother of the accused were sleeping in their home in Morna village when five men barged into their house and dragged the 16-year-old sister out of the house.
They took her along and allegedly raped her.
The girl was found lying in a semi-conscious state on Monday on the outskirts of the village.
The police initially claimed that the incident was suspicious and refused to register a complaint.
However, a large number of villagers collected at the Kakrauli police station and created noisy scenes.
Since the matter involved two communities, the incident took a communal turn.
Later the girl was sent for medical examination and an FIR has been registered against Gulzar, Shahid, Guddu and two unnamed persons.
All of them are absconding.
The three named accused persons belong to the family of the girl, who was earlier raped.
