Couple robbed at knife point
Hyderabad: In a day light robbery, two people entered the house of a chartered accountant in NRI Colony in Rajendranagar on Tuesday morning, and robbed a couple.
The duo attacked the house owner P. Kumar Singh with a knife, and threatened his wife before fleeing with 30 grams of gold ornaments, three mobile phones and Rs 5,000 in cash.
The robbers scaled the wall and escaped on their motorcycle before locals gathered at the spot hearing the screams of the victims.
The house owner sustained minor injuries on his hand. The incident occurred while Mr Singh was in his bedroom and his wife Saraswati in the kitchen.
“The robbers entered the house and threatened Saraswati with a knife and asked her to hand over her gold ornaments. After taking the ornaments, they went to the bedroom and asked Mr Singh for money. When he resisted, they attacked him and took the cash and mobile phones,” said S. Laxman, detective sub inspector of Rajendranagar police station.
