Chennai: Actresses below the age of 18 face fresh trouble. An organisation has filed a petition in the court, requesting that actresses below the age of 18 be prohibited from acting as it could affect them psychologically.
Muthuselvi of Tamil Nadu Makkal Katchi has filed a petition, saying actresses like Lakshmi Menon and Thulasi Nair should not act in films as it was against the law of child welfare. The petition has created a buzz in K’town. However, actresses can relax as the court has dismissed the petition, saying it cannot curb the dreams and aspirations of artistes.
