Chennai: Mumbai girl Isha Talwar’s Malayalam debut, Thattathin Marayathu, was a box office hit. Now, the actress will re-enact the same role in the Tamil re-make of the film. It will be directed by Jawahar of Yaaradi Nee Mohini fame. Isha Talwar’s last film in Tamil was Thilli Mullu 2, which failed to grab the attention of the audience.

Talking about choosing her for the film, director Jawahar, says, “The main reason for the victory of Thattathin Marayathu was because of its casting and music. So I decided to rope in the same girl for the Tamil remake. We have signed G.V. Prakash to compose the music for the film. I have made a few changes to suit the Tamil audience but justice will be done to its original script. Naaser is playing a crucial role in the film.”

Ask him whether Nivin Pauly, who was seen in the original version will play the lead, he denies it, saying, “Not at all. We have signed the films producer’s son to play the lead role. It will also be his debut film.” The film is produced by Jayachandran.
