Adilabad: Nine passengers, including two women, were injured when the autorickshaw in which they were travelling overturned after being hit by a lorry at Vempalli village in Sirpur (T) mandal on Monday afternoon.
The lorry driver tried to overtake the autorickshaw but once it overturned, the lorry driver escaped.
The autorickshaw was going to Kagaznagar from Vempalli.
Two women Sombai, 55, and Gangubai, 58, were seriously injured in the accident.
They were shifted to Mancherial for better treatment while the others who suffered minor injuries are undergoing treatment at the hospital in Kagaznagar town.
Rural police visited the place and shifted the injured to hospitals. A case has been registered and is being investigated.
