Hospital negligence or miracle? Man wakes up two days after doctors declared him dead
Aligarh: A man, who was declared dead two days ago at a local hospital in Aligarh district in Uttar Pradesh, was found breathing when the police visited the hospital to complete the formalities, according to a Daily Mail report.
The man, who is said to be deaf and dumb, was earlier found in a critical condition near Sofa canal under Khair police circle in Aligarh. The doctors started his treatment after admitting him until August 29 when he stopped breathing.
After carrying out “all necessary tests”, the hospital declared him dead. Meanwhile, the hospital authorities locked the ward as they waited for the cops to visit the place to complete the formalities.
On Saturday evening when the police visited the hospital, the youth was found on the floor of the ward with wet pants, breathing regularly. The youth was immediately shifted to the ICU.
According to the report, the police sub-inspector blamed the hospital for callousness. The hospital's Chief Medial Superintendent, Dr. R.D. Khare, accepted the medical negligence.
