Hyderabad: An HR manager of Air Costa’s Vijayawada office lost her suitcase containing gold jewellery worth lakhs in Sriramnagar on Sunday. The victim who came in a bus to the city hired an autorickshaw to go to her friend’s house. Though she had four bags in her luggage, she took only three while getting out from the autorickshaw.
She was about to board a flight to Goa, her native place.
Police said the woman Alfa Xess, 39, who works in Vijayawada came to the city in a bus and got down at Lakdikapul in the morning. She then hired an autorickshaw to go to her friend’s house. She had planned to see her friend and then take a flight to Goa in the evening. She kept four bags in the vehicle but while getting down took only three, leaving a black suitcase behind, police said.
“She realised it only later when she checked for the bags. She said that the suitcase contained gold jewellery weighing about 90 grams. Based on her complaint, a case was registered,” said sub inspector Purinder Reddy of Humayunnagar police station.
