I don't meet Karan just for work; we've been friends for years: Kareena Kapoor

Mumbai: The straight-talking Kareena Kapoor announced at a recent event that by giving up Karan Johar’s Shuddhi she has left a premium slot open for rival actresses.

In the past also, she has given up roles, which were eventually bagged by fellow actresses, and the films turned out to be huge successes.

Every time Kareena is spotted with KJo, she makes way for a fresh series of speculations around the film.

“I don’t think I can do Shuddhi. And what’s the big deal about meeting Karan? I don’t meet him just for work. We’ve been friends for years. I fail to understand how our meeting becomes the talk of town all the time,” said Kareena adding that her exit from the film has yet again created a golden opportunity for other actresses.

The actress also said that she has always been unperturbed by rumours.

“I’ve never been affected by stories about me. I’d rather focus on my current film Bajrangi Bhaijaan with Salman. Since it’s my first film with Kabir Khan, I’m looking forward to it,” she said.

Kareena seems in no hurry to sign big-ticket films.

After her film with Salman, she wants to take off on another vacation with husband Saif Ali Khan.

She revealed that both she and Saif could never have enough of vacations.

“We just got back from London and we are already planning our next vacation. Nothing is better than holidaying with Saif,” she said.
