Mallika Sherawat speaks about women's rights at the UN headquarters

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat, who took part in a debate at Oxford Union earlier this year, was invited to the United Nations (UN) headquarters to participare in a discussion at the 65^th Annual Department of Public Information (DPI)/Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) conference.

The actress arrived at the headquarters on August 27, and took to Twitter to share pictures from the conference.

She tweeted, “Minutes before speaking at the #UNNGO2014 at UN headquarters.” Sherawat was invited as an outspoken defender of women’s rights, .

The actress got into trouble recently after the release of her film poster ‘Dirty Politics’, where she was featured in the nude draped in the Indian flag.
