Hyderabad: In a surprising move, the BJP picked former Congress leader and former government whip Turpu Jayaprakash Reddy, alias Jaggareddy, as its candidate to take on the TRS and Congress nominees in the upcoming Medak Lok Sabha bypoll.
BJP’s bankruptcy was exposed when it failed to name a candidate from its own party. Incidentally Mr Jaggareddy was declared the Medak DCC chief three days ago.
The appointment had been put on hold by the AICC after receiving complaints that he being an anti-Telanganaite.
