Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao roots for pending Telangana townships
CM is keen on developing townships he travelled by road from Singapore to Malaysia
Hyderabad: Impressed by the mega satellite townships in Singapore and Malaysia during his recent trip to the region, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to revive township projects in Tellapur on the Mumbai Highway and Srinagar township on the Srisailam highway on the city’s outskirts.
Though the previous Congress government had devised plans to develop townships and had acquired land for the purpose five years ago, the projects could not be grounded due to various reasons. The Telangana government, which has already unveiled plans to develop townships around the city, plans to launch the project by reviving pending projects.
Mr Rao is so keen on developing townships in the city that he travelled by road from Singapore to Malaysia. He obtained information from about townships and discussed the issue with GHMC, HMDA and TS Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation.
