YSR Congress battle on in Andhra Pradesh Assembly
Hyderabad: Proceedings in the AP Assembly once again turned chaotic as unrelenting YSR Congress MLAs demanded that their leader, Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, be given more time to conclude his speech on the Budget.
In the ensuing pandemonium, two YSRC MLAs were suspended for the rest of the session for snatching the Speaker’s microphone. They, however, did not leave the House and joined others in the protest.
Ruling TDP members once again lambasted the YSRC president, alleging that he didn’t want the Assembly to proceed smoothly. Chief Whip K. Srinivasulu moved a privilege motion against YSRC legislator Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy for allegedly making derogatory remarks in the media against Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao.
Finance minister Y. Ramakrishnudu, was scheduled to give a reply on the Budget. However, YSRC members demanded that the YSRC president be allowed to conclude his speech which the Speaker had disallowed.
