AP government said it will take care of its students fees in Telangana
Hyderabad: AP finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said on Tuesday that if the Telangana government would not reimburse the fees of the Seemandhra students studying in Telangana, the Andhra Pradesh government would do so.
Mr Krishnudu said the Seemandhra students need not worry about fee reimbursement. He added that in the united state, the arrears for fee reimbursement was around Rs 2,000 crore and the exact share of the AP government is not yet known.
He also added that the AP government did not have the details of the number of Seemandhra students studying in Telangana and the amount that was required to be paid as fee reimbursement.
“I had said long back that the AP government would reimburse the fees of Seemandhra students in Telangana if the Telangana government does not pay,” he said, adding that the government did not need to pay the entire amount at one go.
