Reliance Industries Limited to shut Hazira unit for four weeks
The cracker unit will be shut starting from the last week of September 2014
New Delhi: Reliance Industries on August 27 said it will shut the Hazira petrochemical unit for four weeks from September-end for scheduled maintenance.
"The cracker unit will be shut for a period of about 4 weeks, starting from the last week of September 2014," the company said in a statement here. The shutdown will be used to "carry out other routine maintenance and turnaround activities to enhance productivity", it said. RIL's crackers at other locations will continue at normal levels of operations. "With advance planning and inventory management, impact on external sales is likely to be minimal," the statement added.
