Hyderabad:The state government finalised the design for the Vijayawada Durga temple flyover on Monday evening after a meeting of ministers and MLAs. The design for a four-lane road and a four-lane flyover, making it an eight-lane passage, has been finalised.
Lack of consensus among the officials and TD leaders over the design had kept the flyover proposal pending. While the TD MLAs sought a four-lane road and a four-lane flyover, the municipal administration department principal secretary had suggested a bridge over the Prakasam barrage, stating that it will look beautiful. The MLAs, had objected as it would affect the heritage value of the barrage.
