URA's son immersed the ashes as per the Hindu rituals

Mysore: The ashes of Jnanapith awardee Dr U.R. Ananthamurthy, who passed away on Friday evening, were immersed in the Cauvery Sangam near Ganjam near Srirangpatna on Monday. Mr Sharath, Mr Ananthamurthy’s son, immersed the ashes between 12.45 pm and 1 pm.
Mr Sharath, who had arrived along with a few relatives and friends, immersed the ashes as per the Hindu rituals. The rituals were overseen by the priest, Mr Subramanya, who had accompanied them from Bengaluru.
