Saffron wave has slowed down
BJP lost some of the key seats in the recently concluded assembly elections
New Delhi: The bypoll elections in Bihar, Karnataka, MP and Punjab seems to have slowed down the saffron wave that hit the country during the LS elections.
In Punjab, fortune smiled on the Congress yet again as Preneet Kaur, former MoS for external affairs and the wife of former CM Amarinder Singh, won the Patiala (Urban) constituency. The seat fell vacant after Capt. Singh won the Lok Sabha polls. Alarm bells rang for the AAP as their candidate lost the deposit in this seat.
In Madhya Pradesh, the BJP suffered a setback after the Congress wrested the Bahoriband seat from it.
