CM K Chandrasekhar Rao to send Telangana State team to Singapore
Hyderabad: Following his five-day visit of Singapore and Malayasia, the Chief Minitser said that the government representatives were impressed by the state and that he would send represenatives to study the success of the two countries.
“They felt Telangana has huge scope for industrialisation and growth in service sectors. I have studied development in various sectors in Singapore and the experience will be used for the reconstruction of Telangana,” he said. Mr Rao briefed Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy, ministers T. Harish Rao, P. Srinivas Reddy, Jogu Ramanna, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and other senior party leaders on his trip.
“Singapore is a clean and green city. I did not find litter or even a single waste piece of paper anywhere. Facing all odds, the country rose from a tiny village to a world economic super power. Interestingly, for a population of 53 lakh, Singapore receives 5.3 crore tourists annually while Malaysia gets 2.7 crore tourists annually,” he observed.
