Tallana best film, Darshan best actor for 2012

Tallana received the Best film Award and Subbaiah Naidu Best Actor Award

BENGALURU: Tallana, directed by N. Sudarshan, has been adjudged the best film for 2012 followed by P. Sheshadri’s Bharath Stores, by a committee headed by K.C.N. Chandrashekar, which announced the state film awards on Monday. The third spot was taken by Yedegarike, directed by D. Suma Kittur, who also won the Best Dialogue Writer Award.

While the Subbaiah Naidu Best Actor Award went to Darshan for his performance in Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna, Nirmala Chennappa was adjudged the Best Female Actor for her role in Tallana. Veteran M. Bhaktavatsala has been selected for the coveted Dr Rajkumar Award, Chi. Dattaraj for Puttanna Kanagal award and Rajesh for Dr Vishnuvardhan award for lifetime achievements.

Vasu Dixit got the Best Male Playback Singer Award for Cyber Yugadol, while Anuradha Bhat bagged Best Female Playback Singer Award for Little Master, which has also won the award for Best Children’s Film. Santosh bagged the Best Director Award for his film Alemari, whereas Karisubbu bagged Best Actor in Supporting Role for his performance in Kalavu.

Dr Baragur Ramachandrappa bagged the Best Story Writer Award for Anguli Mala and Rakesh was adjudged the Best Cinematographer for Yedegarike. K.Y. Narayanaswamy got the Best Screenplay Award for Kalavu, Arjun Janya the Best Music Director Award for Alemari, and P.R. Soundara Raj bagged the Best Editing Award for Sagar. V. Anil Kumar got the Best Child Actor Award for Karanika Shishu and Lepana the Best Child Actress Award for Sheshu. While the First Best Film gets a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and a gold medal, the Second Best Film gets Rs 75,000 and a silver medal. The Third Best Film gets Rs 50,000 and a silver medal.
