Telangana State unions pressurise to cap on government staff of Andhra origin
Employees have demanded CM take up this issue with his Andhra Pradesh counterpart
Hyderabad: While the Centre-appointed Kamalnathan Committee is in the process of finalising the distribution of state government employees between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Telangana employees are bringing pressure on the state government not to allow more than 40,000 “AP-origin employees” to work in Telangana.
These associations have submitted a list of about 40,370 employees to the Telangana State government claiming them to be of “AP-origin” and to ensure that they are relieved from Telangana government duties by January 1, 2015.
Employees have demanded Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao take up this issue with his Andhra Pradesh counterpart.
