Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh State Wakf Board has terminated Mohammed Faisal Ali Shah from the post of mutawalli of Dargah Yousufain of Hyderabad.
Mr Shah had been placed under suspension by the state Wakf Board for his alleged involvement in irregularities in running the affairs of the managing committee of the dargah and for his failure in protecting its properties.
The AP state Wakf Board had initiated an inquiry against him based on the direction of the High Court.
Sources in the Walk Board said that after examining the inquiry report in which it was proved that the mutawalli had misappropriated funds and property of the dargah Yousufain special officer of the Board, Mr M.J. Akbar, passed the orders for his termination.
