A chance rendezvous with Hollywood actor-director Stephen Baldwin may or may not mean a possible musical collaboration in the near future. But that kind of speculation doesn’t interest the scorer-lyricist Mithoon. He goes on producing good music.“Yeah, I did meet Stephen Baldwin since he liked my compositions in Aashiqui 2 and wanted to interact with me personally. But no professional commitment has yet come out of that conversation,” he says. It was recently reported that Mithoon chatted with Baldwin at an international award function held in the USA.
Now one of the most sought-after composer-songwriter, Mithoon says he always listens to his heart and mind while composing music. “This is no mathematics but a pure creative call. I go by my instincts. What I do consider at a level are factors like the characters, situations and the film’s script,” he says. Reinventing himself as a vocalist this year, the 29-year-old hitmaker has been on a roll. This busy musician also takes time to contemplate. “Music is a philosophy of life than external elements.”
