No criminals will be spared: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu

Without naming Jagan, CM points fingers at the YSRC

Hyderabad: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said criminals in Andhra Pradesh will be dealt with a stern hand. The government will maintain law and order at any cost and will bring new laws and set up more courts, if needed, he said. Speaking during the debate on law and order in the Assembly on Saturday, which started after the YSRC had walked out, Mr Naidu complained that the Opposition was trying to mislead the people raising the issue of law and order.

While the TD leaders demanded probe against Leader of Opposition Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the CM, without naming the YSRC chief, said, “No criminal would be spared. Opposition said there had been six deaths. But when I checked, I found these deaths were natural. The Opposition is misleading.”

The CM said that the Opposition should not indulge in propaganda about law and order and scare investors away. “They should stop their propaganda on law and order in the state. In Delhi, tourism was hit after the gang-rape incident,” he said adding, “We will set up more courts and bring in laws, if required. The government is taking complete responsibility of the law and order for investments. There is no compromise on this,”Mr Naidu added.

Chief Minister also said that the YSR Congress was indulging in a mudslinging exercise. “We have lot of scope for tourism and lot of tourists are coming in, because ours is a safe state,” he said. “It has only been 77 days since the government was formed. I don’t know why the Opposition is raising the issue of law and order now,” Mr Naidu added.
