London: The spread of the Ebola epidemic in West Africa is 'unprecedented', said the World Health Organization (WHO).
The WHO also said that there were certain areas that cannot be reached and that the number of cases was underestimated, reports the BBC. There were 142 new cases of the disease and 77 deaths since August 19, confirmed the organization.
Nigerian authorities said that two new cases had been detected who were spouses of medical workers who had direct contact with a man from Liberia. More than 1,427 people have died so far in the epidemic and the reported number of cases stands at 2,615.
