Hyderabad: Allotment of land to set up a cinema SEZ, establishment of AP Film Development Corporation, AP Film Commission, an exclusive university to offer film industry related courses, concessions, tax benefits and single-window facility for speedy permissions are among the important sops sought from AP government by producers and directors of the Telugu film industry to make Visakhapatnam and Andhra Pradesh a cinema hub.
A team of producers and directors from the Telugu film industry met AP ministers Ganta Srinivas Rao and Palle Raghunatha Reddy on Friday and expressed willingness to make Visakhapatnam a Telugu film hub.
However, they made it clear that both Telangana and AP are important for development of Telugu film industry. Another significant suggestion made by them to the AP ministers was to conduct an international film festival in AP mainly in Vizag.
