Hyderabad: In the short discussion in the AP Assembly on the law and order situation in the state, both ruling and Opposition members entered into a verbal spat, trading allegations and counter allegations.
Trouble started when YSRC MLA K. Sridhar Reddy, in his speech, mentioned the murders of Vangaveeti Ranga and Pingali Dasaradharam mentioning the name of NTR and pointing a finger at Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Reacting to this, ruling party members, Buchhaiah Chowdary, Dhoolipalla Narendra, Kalava Srinivasulu, B. Uma Maheswar Rao, ministers Devineni Umamaheswar Rao, Palle Raghu Nath Reddy and others pointed out the Paritala Ravi murder, and alleged that Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy came from a factionist family, and he was responsible for the murder of Paritala Ravi.
They called Mr Reddy a Nararoopa Rakshasa and “economic terrorist” and alleged that he had looted Rs 1 lakh crore of public money.
Reacting to this, Mr Reddy said that a CBI inquiry had been ordered in the Paritala murder case and he, J.C. Diwakar Reddy and J.C. Prabhakar Reddy had got clean chits.
