Florida: When this Florida girl went to a doctor she wasn't sure what was troubling her stomach that was bloated due to pain. At first the medical staff thought she is pregnant but after the check ups and reports they found out that she had tape worms in her stomach.
How did the tape worms get in her stomach? Was it because she had something bad for dinner or was she fed tapeworms intentionally?
Sadly the latter reason is the actual reason for the pain she was feeling.
In a horrific incident a mother feeds her daughter tapeworms to make her look slim for a beauty pageant. When a teen girl came into a Florida hospital emergency room complaining of stomach pains, doctors were shocked at what they found was the cause of it. The girl's stomach was infested with tapeworms.
This incident was also featured on Discovery Health's famous show Untold stories of ER that went viral instantly. An ultrasound didn’t show a baby, but it did show a bizarre growth in her intestines, and a trip to the bathroom revealed a toilet bowl full of wriggly tapeworms. Nurse Maricar Cabral-Osorio told UPI, “some of the worms were very long and wiggling around trying to get out of the toilet bowl.”
According to Cabral-Osorio, ”The mom was apologizing to the girl. It’s like ‘I’m so sorry. You know, I did it just to make you a little skinnier. You needed some help before we went on to the pageant.” The mom bought a pill of tapeworm eggs in Mexico and forced her to ingest it.
