Six top filmmakers to do a cameo in ‘Shamitabh’, any guesses?

Mumbai: R Balki’s much awaited film, 'Shamitabh' starring Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Shruti Haasan’s sister Akshara Haasan, boasts of six filmmakers playing cameo.

According to reports, Balki's film will have Karan Johar, Raju Hirani, Gauri Shinde, Mahesh Bhatt, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Anurag Basu playing a cameo in it. Apart from these directors, Balki has also asked lyricist Javed Akhtar and producers Boney Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor for a special apperance.

Karan Johar made his acting debut in 'DDLJ' and will now be seen in a full fledged role in 'Bombay Velvet'.

Gauri Shinde, wife of R Balki last directed 'English Vinglish'.

Mahesh Bhatt is also making his acting debut as a bald Buddhist monk in debutante director Mukul Misra's 'Siddhartha'.

Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra is busy with 'Mirza' with Anil Kapoor's son Harshvardhan.

Dhanush’s character is of a deaf-mute in the film that has voice of veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan.

Mr. Bachchan seems thrilled to have been a part of the film and keeps updating his fans on the social networking site. These are the latest pictures he posted.

The shooting of 'Shamitabh' commenced in April this year will release in February next year.
