Panaji: Acrex India 2015, South Asia's largest event in air conditioning sector would be held in Bangalore in the last week of February next year, organisers said here on August 23. "The upcoming Acrex India conference would be held at International Exhibition Centre, Bangalore, which is one of the most green exhibition centres in the country," Nirmal Ram, National President of ISHRAE (Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers) said.
Talking on the sidelines of the ongoing Tech-Fest 2014 organised by ISHRAE, Ram said Acrex would be held on February 26, 27 and 28. He said the upcoming event is going to be successful considering the response for Acrex 2014 held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. "Almost 400 exhibitors will be participating in it. This is going to be a B2B (Business to Business) and a B2C (Business to Consumer) — event wherein we will have — smart-home and cold-chain pavilions which will exhibit tailor-made products," he added.
"There will be seminars, panel discussions and 30,000 visitors are expected to arrive during the three-day long event," Ram said. According to ISHRAE website, the theme for Acrex 2015 will be 'less energy is equal to more life'. "Global warming and climate change is the result of excessive use of energy. There is a strong need to reduce the level of energy usage," the website said. "A comprehensive approach needs to be applied to reduce the use of energy like replacement of fossil fuel energy with clean energy, conserving energy, using energy efficient systems and others. Hence, the theme will have a 360 degree approach for having a greener tomorrow," it added.
