AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for political rule in Andhra Pradesh
Naidu said the need of the hour is to run a political governance and not bureaucratic governance
Hyderabad:In a marked departure from his previous style of functioning, AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday said the need of the hour is to run a political governance and not bureaucratic governance run by chief secretary, secretaries and other IAS officers.
“We don’t want bureaucratic governance. We are in a democracy and accountable to the people. At the end of five years, we have to go to the people seeking their mandate. It will be political governance in the state and not bureaucratic one,” he said while addressing a workshop of TD’s elected public representatives including MPs, ministers, MLCs, MLAs, Mayors and municipal chairpersons at TD headquarters.
He unveiled the action plan of the TD government to make the state a golden and happy AP. “We have decided to adopt a multi-pronged strategy as our future action plan and embark on the following key drivers of growth i.e. by launching 4 campaigns, set up 5 various sector-grids and implement 7 missions.
The four campaigns are Pedarikam Pai Gelupu (winning over poverty), Polam Pilustondi (officers will go into agricultural fields and interact with farmers two days a week), Badi Pilustondi (making AP a knowledge hub) and Neeru-Chettu (Conserving water, making AP drought proof and following environmental norms) The five grids to be set are — water grid, road grid, power grid, gas grid and fibre-optic grid. The Chief Minister said through water grid, the government is committed to provide water to all villages, 365 days a year, and to ensure this, a Water Grid Corporation under the NTR Sujala Pathakam will be set up.
Road grid: There is plan to have road connectivity all across the state. There will be single line connectivity from village to mandal, two-lane connectivity from mandal to district, four lane connectivity from district to district and six-lane connectivity from district to other major cities/important places. “I am planning to go for even 10-lane and 12-lane roads so that two to three lanes can be spared for dedicated freight corridors,” Naidu said.
Power Grid: Andhra Pradesh has robust power grid consisting of transmission network and distribution network which will be improved further to give 24x7 power supply to all the houses, commercial establishments and industries from October 2, and efforts are on to give 9-hour supply to agriculture.
AP Natural Gas Grid: Pipelines would be laid to supply gas to the houses in every village as Godavari-krishna basin has lot of gas potential. National Optical Fiber network (NOFN): This grid will envisage reaching all villages with optical fiber (OF) cable from block (Mandal) head quarters. Power Grid Corporation Ltd (PGCIL) will be executing agency and optical fibre connected up to block/mandal head quarters already exists in the BSNL network.
Horizontal connectivity from Gram Panchayat (GP) to various schools/colleges/PHC’s and other government user’s , needs to be extended using Radio medium.Pilot project is operational in Andhra Pradesh in Parwada Mandal, Visakhapatnam district. As a trail, wireless connectivity (Horizontal Connectivity) is provided for many users in Panchayat.
