Realty prices to rise in Hyderabad: CREDAI

Currently, the total real estate projects in Hyderabad are worth over Rs 10,000 crore

Hyderabad: Cashing on political stability and pro-development statements by the state government, Hyderabad-based real estate companies have decided to project ‘Brand Hyderabad’ to revive investor sentiment in the city’s real estate market.

“Presently, realty prices are the lowest in Hyderabad. It is the best time to purchase a property in Hyderabad, as we expect prices to go up steeply in the next few months,” said Credai national president C. Shekar Reddy on Thursday, after announcing a three day Hyderabad Property Show from August 29 to 31.

With positive investor sentiments and the possibility of inclusion of Hyderabad under the 100 smart cities category, land prices in the city are expected to shot up steeply in the next few months, Realty association CREDAI said.

Explaining further, Mr Reddy said that the liberalised FDI norms, categorisation of affordable housing project finance and home loans upto 50 lakhs in six metros, including Hyderabad, under the priority lending sector (PSL) will give a major boost to small and medium developers. “All these will boost the demand for housing and prices will increase,” he said.

Currently, the total real estate projects in Hyderabad are worth over Rs 10,000 crore. Mr Reddy expects the projects to multiply many folds in the coming years.
