“This data proves that there has been increase of nearly 19 lakh houses since the 2011 Census in Telangana. It will help the government to meet the requirements. This will be more useful to plan schemes in cities like Warangal and Karimnagar which are witnessing rapid growth after Hyderabad,” said Mr Raymond Peter, principal secretary, Panchayat Raj department, and in-charge of the survey.
He said that the data would be kept available for local bodies so as to plan schemes to meet drinking water, housing and other civic needs in their respective areas.
