Telangana survey: 4.86 lakh new houses in Hyderabad

GHMC will soon bring new houses, under scrutiny, especially those of non-tax-payers
Hyderabad: The Intensive Household Survey revealed an increase of 4.86 lakh houses in Greater Hyderabad.
According to the 2011 Census, there were 15,24,392 house in Greater Hyderabad. However, on Tuesday, enumerators identified 4,86,901 new houses across 19 circles. The total number now stands at 20,11,293 houses. The number of houses drastically increased by 1,53,692 in the West Zone.
In the North Zone, Qutubullahpur recorded the highest increase by 74,084 (taking the number of households from 94,875 to 1,68,959); followed by Secunderabad (49,690); Malkajgiri (38,812) and Alwal (19,216).
In the West Zone, Kukatpally recorded the highest increase by 80,688, followed by Serilingampally (67,876) and then RC Puram (5,129).
In the East Zone, 88,033 new households have been identified. LB Nagar showed an increase of 67,377 households followed by Kapra with 19,215. The Central Zone saw an increase of 33,466 houses. The South Zone had the lowest increase with 29,907 houses.
Registering the details will take 15 to 20 days. The GHMC will soon bring new houses, under scrutiny, especially those of non-tax-payers.
