Andhra Pradesh lifts ban on staff transfers
Hyderabad: Even as the final allocation of employees between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state is pending with Kamalanathan Committee, the Andhra Pradesh government on Tuesday issued orders lifting ban on transfers of employees with immediate effect, including executive functionaries and ministerial staff.
The process of transfers shall be completed by September 30. The ban on transfers will come into force with effect from October 1, 2014. However, the Secretariat staff have been excluded from this order.
Though sources said the order is in violation of orders of department of personnel and training, Union government, which asked not to transfer state-cadre employees until final allocation by the Kamalanathan Committee. “If there is any problem on account of lifting the ban, we will face it,” the chief secretary said on being asked whether the new order violates Central orders. “This order is in accordance with all rules,” added he.
