Singer shaan and his wife Radhika proved that they’re perfect partners

They’re known to be among the devoted couples of the red carpet circuit in Mumbai and now Shaan and his wife Radhika have proved that they’re perfect partners when it comes to business ventures as well.

Radhika recently launched an event company (Radikal) and her very first show will have husband Shaan paying a tribute to music legends like Mukesh, Md. Rafi and Kishore Kumar.

“We wanted to do something exclusive, not the ‘Ek shaam Rafi ke naam’ type of shows that keep happening. It’s more about songs that matter today, songs with a philosophical bent, ‘love’, romantic numbers, and the fun, Shammi Kapoor type of numbers,” Shaan says.

Radhika says that Shaan and she have been together for 18 years and that in their initial years, it wasn’t always possible to travel with him to concerts because their children were very young. Now, however, she has been attending his events regularly and noticed that Shaan gets many requests to perform older, evergreen numbers.

“Honestly, I think there are just two artistes who can lend an authenticity to old songs — Shaan and Sonu Nigam. One of my dreams is get them both on the same platform, in my future shows,” Radhika says. Shaan adds that he’s developed an even deeper respect for concert organisers after seeing the amount of effort that Radhika has had to put in to put this event.

The couple is also looking forward to Shaan’s acting debut, Balwinder Singh Famous Ho Gaya. Radhika says, “We are not under some illusion that Shaan will become the next Salman or SRK. Singing will always remain his priority, but he is exploring different things.”

Shaan adds, “It’s a family film and my friend Mika is producing it, I just hope people come and watch it.”

The singer is also composing music under the moniker Superbia. And among his projects is a Tigmanshu Dhulia film as well.
