Women urged the collector to immediately take steps against Tasmac shop

Coimbatore:About 50 women from Thondamuthur panchayat urged the collector to immediately take steps to shift the Tasmac shop out of Srinivasapuram and restore civic peace in the neighbourhood.
The women, in their petition to the collector, said students and women in the area were unable to walk through the road because of the nuisance caused by the Tasmac customers. They drink in the open and threaten residents who move around the area. They also get into drunken brawls, disturbing public peace and order, said the petitioners.
There have been several accidents on the road due to drunken driving. Hence, the women said the Tasmac shop should be removed immediately from the area.
