AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to vest MLAs with more power

Hyderabad: Addressing the Telugu Desam Legislature Party meeting on Monday at the Assembly, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said unlike earlier, he will now take the MLAs into confidence. “I am giving full responsibilities to you (MLAs). You are free to give any suggestions, I will implement”, he said.

During the President’s Rule, the Governor had cancelled the GO on giving work contracts of '5 lakh on the basis of nominations. “Now, I have ordered the concerned officers to revive that GO. We will soon issue orders to give works below '5 lakh in the Assembly constituencies based on MLAs’ nominations,” Mr Naidu added.
