Road rage: Two men assault bus conductor

The two accused hit driver with helmet and leaving him critically injured
Bengaluru: In a road rage incident, a bus conductor was allegedly assaulted by two men under Upparpet police limits on Monday night. The victim has been identified as Thimmaiah, while the two accused are Sadiq and Rafique, who have been arrested.The two accused, who were on a motorbike, allegedly attacked Thimmaiah with a helmet leaving him critically injured. Sadiq and Rafique were riding on a service road meant for KSRTC buses near Majestic Bus-Stand when the handle of their bike touched Thimmaiah, who fell on the road. When Thimmaiah questioned the two bike-borne men about their negligent riding, they picked up a quarrel.
One of them allegedly claimed that he worked with Health Minister U.T. Khader. When Thimmaiah didn’t pay heed, one of the accused hit the BMTC conductor on the head with his helmet.Passersby rushed to Thimmaiah's rescue and took him to a nearby hospital. An onlooker alerted the police, who arrived at the spot and took the two accused into custody. Chickpet Division ACP Rajendra said, “None of the two accused works for the minster. We have not got any call from any minister regarding this.”
