The film was shortened by the producer after mixed reviews

Hyderabad: Of late quite a few films have been trimmed in length post release.
The latest Suriya-starrer Sikinder got mixed reviews with the length of the film being a sore point.
So the producer immediately shortened the film.
“Yes, we have deleted a few scenes and nearly 20 minutes of the length is shortened,” says producer Lagadapati Sridhar.
The film was released on August 15 in Tamil and Telugu.
Though the film got a good opening on the first day, the makers decided to shorten it based on feedback.
The film’s original length was 170 minutes and now after the deletion of a few scenes it stands at 150 minutes.
Samantha plays the female lead in the film.
