Parthiban’s Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam recently hit the screens, and has already got rave reviews. Parthiban’s way of promoting the film was to point out that it had no story. Akhila Kishore, who has played a pivotal role in the film, corroborates this. “He did not even narrate the story to me,” she laughs. “In fact, none of the actors was aware what the film was about before its release.
It’s only when I saw the preview that I realised that I had been part of a mind-blowing film; it was a brilliant climax.” To describe herself as ‘being happy’ about its success would be an understatement, she says. “I am jumping for joy.”
She recalls how the National Award winning Parthiban and Thambi Ramaiah would make fun of her ignorance of the language and accent. Now, she understands Tamil well, she says, and is getting offers. “I am now tasting the success of this film,” says Akhila.
