Mumbai: Jacqueline Fernandes was looking forward to starting a film with superstar Hrithik Roshan even as she continues to bask in the stupendous success of Kick. There were talks about how the two would be teaming up for Kabir Khan’s film. The filmmaker was supposed to start working on the project after wrapping up Bajrangi Bhaijaan with Salman Khan. But the Sri Lankan beauty may have to wait longer to work with Hrithik.
We hear that his prime focus at the moment is on Bang Bang. And once that is out of the way, he will concentrate on Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Mohenjodaro. The actor will be away for a long period to prepare for the period film that is being touted as one of the costliest films in Bollywood.
“Hrithik doesn’t have the dates for Kabir’s film. He has already allotted the first half of 2015 to Ashutosh. And then there are few assignments that are prior commitments. Hrithik and Kabir did meet to work out the possibility of teaming up. Despite wanting to be a part of the film, Hrithik has been unable to work out the dates for Kabir,” says a source.
Jacqueline, who has been away shooting for Bangistan, learnt about the development last week. “This is the best phase of her career. After Salman, teaming up with Hrithik would’ve worked wonders for her,” says a source. Hrithik’s ouster from the film has now left the slot open for other top actors. We hear that an announcement of the final cast will soon be made by Kabir Khan’s office. Watch this space.
