Hyderabad: The RTC bus services will be suspended in Telangana on August 19 to enable smooth conduct of the proposed household survey.
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao told reporters on Sunday that the entire fleet of RTC buses will be engaged by the government to transport survey staff to all the places in the state.
“I, therefore request people to postpone their travel plans as no buses would be available on August 19. I also request them to stay in their houses, give details to survey staff and co-operate with the state government.” Mr Rao said. He added that except emergency services like ambulances, nothing will be allowed to ply on the roads on that day to transport people.
