Hidden agenda behind Telangana survey, says TDP legislator Revanth Reddy

He alleged that CM wants to see that people from AP move out of Telangana
Hyderabad: TD senior legislator A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday accused Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of having a “secret agenda” behind conducting the household survey in Telangana to “drive away” certain people from the state.
He alleged that at a few meetings held with officials to work out modalities for the survey, the Chief Minister had said that he would work hard to see that people from AP move out of Telangana.
“This means Mr Rao has a set agenda. He wants to create fear among certain sections of people. That is why we suspect there is a hidden agenda behind the household survey,” Mr Reddy claimed.
He said that the TD was not against holding any survey to weed out persons who are ineligible to claim subsidies, and to save public money. “It should be done in a systematic and transparent way, but with the Chief Minister giving indications to officials that there will be series of checks and visits again to households, we suspect there is a the hidden agenda,” he said.
He demanded that Mr Chandrasekhar Rao and his family members K. T. Rama Rao, K. Kavita and T. Harish Rao reveal details of their bank accounts and assets before carrying out the survey in the state.
