'Gippi' director Sonam Nair to make a sex comedy for Dharma Productions

Mumbai: Director Sonam Nair made her directorial debut with ‘Gippi’, and is now all set to take on something different. According to reports, Sonam will be directing a sex comedy under Karan Johar’s banner Dharma Productions.

After making a ‘slice of life’ film Sonam will now try something different with the untitled film.

She was quoted saying, “I am directing a sex comedy which will go on floors by the end of this year. It will be produced by Dharma. The film is written and directed by me.”

According to the report Karan was happy with the script and gave Sonam the ‘okay’ to go ahead with it.

The cast, though not finalised yet will have some newcomers as well as known faces in the industry.

Finally she added that the film will not be like popular adult comedies in India, but will be more or less like an American film and will be normal and real.
